Sony Google TV

I think the new Sony internet TV powered by Google TV is a cool innovation with pros and cons. I like how it enables you, for the first time, to go on the internet on your HDTV while watching a tv show. I also like how there are apps for it. I think it would be a bit difficult to browse the web on the tv, however, because the keypad is small enough to fit in your hands, which would make it take a while to type. I personally would find it easier to just use my laptop instead, where I have a large and easy to use keyboard as opposed to a keypad.

Digital Citizenship in Farmville

Farmville displays many of the nine elements of digital citizenship in the game. The game is very accessible, because you simply need a Facebook account to play, which most people do have. It also uses commerce, because you can purchase extra Farmville money with real money. It helps in literacy of the game because when you first use the FarmVille application, there are tutorials and notes explaining how to play. The only problem with this game and digital citizenship may be health and wellness. Some people spend too much time on Facebook playing applications such as FarmVille because it can for some people prove to be addicting.
